The 2nd Edition Kit includes a Colour A3 Tower – laminated and magnetised used for High/Low songs and activities.

Take Note Music has developed the most amazing resources that visually confirm the oral concepts of music: beat, rhythm and pitch. In the Resource Kit 1 we have packaged it in a lovely carry case so you can be on the move and still be able to take your case with you. It has a list of contents and they’re on the website if you would like to check those out. They’re under the Music Writing category so we have A4 song pictures etc and we have six song shape sets. now i’ve got Bee Bee on the board here and that is set up so that we can identify beat. So we’ll do our ready spot, i usually put a little magnet or something for our ready spot and the students will have a turn individually as the other children are clapping or tapping the beat and if you have a one-on-one as the children are doing a written task you can have one-on-one time where the students are pointing and you can assess their ability to track the beat. Then it becomes rhythm, so you can use the extra cards to have two sounds on a beat or one and that is brilliant for their understanding. In the kit we have Seesaw, Blue bells where you have one sound on a beat and two that helps the understanding of rhythm. We have Engine engine number nine – the rhyme that helps us with the contrast between our speaking voice and our singing voice, the Good night song,
Rain rain go away and any other song that you like can have the heartbeats and they’re useful for every year level. We have both words beat and rhythm in this number one Kit the Resource Kit 1 also has the A3 colour tower for our hi-lo songs. Check out the Teaching Tips and Tea for some ideas with that tower. It has eight rhythm flash cards with ta and titi so pop onto the website and see the music writing section and you’ll be able to find all the contents there for each of the kits.
